Rapper T.I. claims top two spots on singles chart Oct 10, 2008 - 09:54

The track sold 335,000 downloads in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan, besting Mariah Carey's prior digital debut week high-water mark of 286,000 with "Touch My Body." Six weeks ago, T.I. jumped 71-1 with "Whatever You Like," which slipped to No. 2 on the current Hot 100 after a total of five weeks at the top.

Pink's "So What" slipped one place to No. 3, but continued to ring up major digital sales. The track shifted 165,000 copies this week and has sold 1.27 million in just seven weeks.

Rihanna's "Disturbia" held at No. 5, while Kevin Rudolf scored his first top 10 hit as "Let It Rock" featuring Lil Wayne jumped 10 places to No. 5. Katy Perry's "Hot N Cold" was No. 6 for a second week.

Christina Aguilera's "Keeps Getting' Better" opened at No. 7, the singer's first top-10 debut ever and her first song in the top tier since "Ain't No Other Man" peaked at No. 6 in 2006.

T-Pain's "Can't Believe It" featuring Lil Wayne fell one place to No. 8, while M.I.A.'s "Paper Planes" nose-dived four places to No. 9. Nickelback's "Gotta Be Somebody" debuted at No. 10, easily the Canadian rock band's best opening to date.

Other new entries included "American Idol" champion David Cook's "Light On" at No. 17, and the Killers' "Human" at No. 32.
